CONTACT ENERGY

IT’S GOOD TO BE HOME FOR ALL NEW ZEALAND

Back

The next chapter of Contact Energy’s gold winning effectiveness campaign ‘It’s good to be home’ explores how Contact generates energy, and their pledge to be carbon zero by 2035.

Through their development of renewable energy projects and initiatives to reduce emissions, Contact is committed to building a better future for humans – as well as all the flora and fauna whom we share this home with. Therefore the new campaign takes place in a Kiwi flat with a group of flatmates, but the flat is the entirety of Aotearoa, and the flatmates are the people, animals, trees, and even the rocks that call this country home.

Their story is complete with everyday flatting issues, from not replacing the toilet paper, to bathroom hogging, milk stealing, drain clogging, and the classic goldfish disappearing. (Okay, maybe not that last one.)

And while Contact is doing their bit to reduce emissions, they can’t do it on their own. If all Kiwi can all get into the habit of reducing energy consumption during peak hours and changing their energy behaviours for the better, then it will put a stop to all stand-offs and duels and flipper slapping fights. Which I think we can all agree won’t just make it good to be home now, but for generations to come.
